About Me

My name is Julia, and Habitual Dyer is a small business based in Louisiana owned and operated by myself. I've had a creative spirit my entire life but could never match it with a career field that would let me explore it. When I decided to start this business, I wasn't sure if it would go anywhere at all (sometimes I'm still unsure!) but luckily I have a very supportive audience who keeps me going. 

I have two children. My son Lukas is autistic, graduated high school last year and spends his days with me. He will likely be my sidekick for years to come, so I hope he will love this business as much as I do. He inherited my creative spirit, and I would love him to eventually join me. My daughter London is in middle school and hates tiedye (is it because I love it? She is a teenager, so who knows haha), but she is also extremely creative. I hope she develops a love for tiedye, but if not, I'm sure she will eventually help in the graphic design department because she loves creating digital art.

I work at this every single day, all hours of the day. I don't take holidays. I don't have weekends off. I put my heart, soul and all of my energy into making this venture as successful as possible. 

To all of my customers and supporters, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Before starting this, I was very lost with no direction of what I wanted to do career wise. I felt like everyone was already settled in and great at what they were doing, and I wanted something to be excited about too. Without all of you, I'd still be hopping from one thing to the next with no clue where I'd end up.
